Description: George III 18ct yellow gold and white enamel memorial mourning band ring, inscribed with "WM:STANHOPE ESQ:OB:12 OCT:1783 AE:73", indicating William Stanhope, Esquire, died on October 12, 1783, at the age of 73.

  • Period: Late 18th Century.
  • Engraving: None, aside from inscription.
  • Measurement: UK size Q (leading edge), US size 8 (leading edge). Band width 3.4mm.
  • Weight: 4.8 grams.

Condition: Commendable, with minor chips and nicks on the enamel and minor surface cracks inside the band, not affecting structural integrity. See photos for details.
